Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

1) Why do you hate non-stickered rims? I do it because I just prefer a clean look instead of the rolling billboard look. There's no status thing about it or practical reasoning. Purely aesthetics based on personal preference.

2) Personally, I've used colored tires before. I just found that the tires I like for their ride quality these days only come in black/grey so that's what I get.

its more anti-status than status. having huge loud stickers flashing REYNOLDS or MAVIC is garish and tacky. no stickers = clean... as are black tires with minimal graphic. i like my avocet tires - no color, low graphic, and no treads!!!

I did it because they started to peel and it looked nice. It also somehow helped with an issue I noticed when spinning the wheel off the ground. So that was nice.

Yep, Via Nirone C2C...it's branded more towards comfort but I have no trouble racing with it. Have over 3k miles on it and it's still perfect (including the r550 wheels...lucked out on that one!)

Taken with basically the worst camera ever, but oh well. It's the same as the other Via Nirone, minus the upgrades. D=

No, my saddle is more flat now; I was trying to adjust it so that my lower back would be more comfortable. While angling it worked to a certain degree, keeping it flattish worked better overall.

What type of saddle is that? It looks a lot like the Aspide that I have on my Bianchi. After about 20 miles it's really uncomfortable. Although I will say that the second time I rode it, it was a little bit better than the first time. Should I stick with it until it gets better or just swap it out?

Selle San Marco Ponza. Hurt me real bad, so I swapped for a Selle Italia Fokus which is working for now. I'd get rid of it, it doesn't get better.

Nice rides. I ALMOST bought the V.N. but the geo. and the all carbon ride feels just a hair better to me but hey, all are nice rides. It would have been cool to get all Celeste though

Odd; I really like mine even in just standard shorts. Obviously I haven't ridden too far yet, but hey, I also don't have shorts. D8

I would love that thing so hard, but I'm not sure whether that's in spite of or because of its color.
