Okay I'll continue to keep track of it. I've been averaging a little lower than the BMR calorie count mainly because I have a hard time eating that much. I've been consuming on about 1600 calories per day. I usually ignore the added numbers for food calories just because I count them as "extra/bonus." Do you think this is a mistake and I should just continue to eat a little over what MFP asks for?
I have fluctuated a little bit. I was down 5 pounds since the 2nd of January but then gained 3-4 pounds out of nowhere.

Eating at the wrong time can be part of it. Eating close to bedtime is an example.
Calorie intake should closely mirror activity levels during the day with the most calories consumed during the active parts of the day.
This is one of my problems, eating at night. I'm a night person.
Anyway, today I hit the 15 lb lost milestone. I've decided to go for the full 25 lb and then I can say that I've lost one eighth of my body.

Not sure about your age but the body changes when we get older and managing weight isn't that easy for many.
There are also concerns about cholesterol, sodium, heart disease, etc. The 50 plus forum is full of skinny guys who rode 6000 miles/year and had heart attacks.

I had gained a bit of weight leading up to Christmas and throughout the Christmas season.
Since mid-January, I've dropped 2.5 kg.

Today I reached my goal weight of 175 lb, down from almost 200 lb in mid December.

I was about 195 in January, now down to 180. I was planning on getting down to 175, but I did an InBody test and found that my percent body fat is 6.8%. If I were to keep losing I'd be losing muscle, so I decided 180 is going to be my number.

I have tried so many diets, exercises and pills that it's even ridiculous. I lost some weight but not enough. While I was searching the Web I came across one article about coolsculpting new york procedure. I decided to try. I was sceptical 'cause I didn't believe in a miracle cellulite disappearance. But I was shocked to see the effect after the 1st procedure. Now I'd better spend time for coolsculpting treatment than at the gym.

Two things happened this week
1. Garmin heart rate strap kept slipping down to where my Garmin 510 wouldn't read it. Had to tighten it up for the first time ever.
2. rode in the rain the other day. My rain jacket that was a good fit last year was like I was wearing a tarp, flopping all around and dragging me down! Looks like I need to buy a new one the next size down

I was discharged from USAF Special Operation in 1974. I have deteriorated since. Back in three pieces, knees gone, hips arthridic, elbow's with bone spurs and I gained weight, to 190. I had to do something. I could not even walk, my knees. hurt so bad. We retired into a lake community with a five and a half mile road around the lake. I bought my wife a cruiser and she wanted me to ride with her. I have it a try just to please her. I was amazed. I could ride that bike with no ill effects at all, as long as I was sitting straight up, I could go all day. I taught myself bike mechanics, bought the tools and built myself an aluminum cruiser. I am 67 years old and I weigh 165. I rode 50 miles a week around my lake and another 100 or so on our rails to trails. I repair bikes for folks now and try to get the older folks out on bikes. You don't have to go fast, you just have to go.

are you speaking of actual weight loss? or cellulite reduction?

Since I posted back in Feb I'd continued to ride, but mostly indoors. Now indoor riding does get boring after a while but I still did it 5 times a week, and from Feb until May my weight stayed steady and then I started riding outdoors again. It wasn't until the last few weeks though that I started getting in 120+ miles per week, and that seems to be the threshold where I start losing again. One 50 mile ride a week, when I'm also either commuting by bike or doing laps in the park the other days, and hitting 125 miles is easy. And today I'm down another 3 pounds so 33 total since September. That was even more surprising because I had a week long vacation in there too, and we all like to eat and drink on vacation. I did get a 30 mile ride in along the fjords of Norway, and that was spectacular, plus Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

Apologies that I have not yet done a thread search, but are any of you using calorie counter apps on iPhone? I'm very frustrated with MyFitnessPal, and want to know what else is a good one? Back in ancient times, MFP and Livestrong were top picks, but, what's the best one now?
BTW I use Wahoo with a Snap, and if possible I'd like it to talk to the Elemnt and to Apple Health.

Issues with Under Armor, I think.
It seems to randomly lose my password, and when I reset it with my current user name, it forces me to choose a new one. Now if I want the Premium level (more foods, no advertising, smoother operation, better accessing of my other apps) I end up having to pay again. I'm fed up with them, and they don't accept the map apps that can talk to my Wahoo element and its companion apps.
So I'm looking for recommended replacements. Somebody here said not long ago that Trainer Road had a good list of foods, so I am looking to gain shared insight. Maybe I have to go over to Electronics and do dads.

I have thought about switching to cronometer... dunno if you've looked into that one but the reason I wanted to was because it tracks more vitamins and minerals for free than MFP.

This past January, I decided to purchase a home spin bike and use iFit to get home spin classes. But it hasn't been the same. No human interaction and the iFit classes don't seem to be at the same level as the ones that I used to take at the gym. I have been steadily gaining weight and now find it difficult to stay below 190.
It may be interaction that may stimulate motivation. Try a spin class. Even the most difficult can be made easy, because it's about the effort that you put in. You can also take a break during the class and just keep spinning your feet. You'll get better with time.
