Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's a school of thought that one can "flush out" your system.

But regardless of any medical benefits, I've felt chilled recently and am tired of it.

When I first used to ride with Mrs BD I think I scared the crap out of her a couple times riding in traffic, cause I never stopped and dismounted for cross traffic, I’d keep riding until an opening developed. Scintillating.

I wonder if she’s using clipless pedals because that’s suicide when riding in city traffic, you just can’t unclip fast enough in an emergency.

Is that one of those places where it doesn't get warm, even in July?

They have been putting them out of business in center city. Wawa opens up within a block or so of a 7-11 and it's curtains.

That'sashame. As college freshman living in the dorms with voracious appetites we owed our survival to a Seven Eleven nearby.

It's Terry Barentsen's YouTube channel - he follows all of the cyclists that he films. And it's not just a case of being lucky - these folks are very skilled (I would have been killed 17 times over if I tried the same).

The measures we are taking, I hope, will slow this process down so it occurs over many years (or decades) rather than all of a sudden, which of course would be very disruptive to our healthcare system.

I just spoke with my local hospital ID specialist and medical leadership. They are sympathetic but not going to do anything to help with testing our patients. And the local health dept is not very helpful either. Sad!

We had a brisk 3 hour ride this morning with a decent turnout of 14 riders. It was 100% fun.
