Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I can't speak for ye olde sizing, but, on a modern road bike, that sounds totally normal.

BTW, I spent some time doing the same overlays with my other bikes. This is why I can go right from one to another.

I was thinking about this on my ride. Obviously there are perspective and similar issues that prevent exact alignment. But if I mark a line for the wheels to be on, and a place for the center of the BB, shoot from the same distance and the same height, it should be possible to perfectly align them.

Yeah, I think I'd like that intervention now.

could not get going this morning. Hit snooze for about an hour, finally made it to the bike and wasn’t feeling it. Then the wind blew and decided to pack it in.
Meeting with the Wife when she gets off, hopefully will do a few miles then, and maybe get a few in tonight. Suppose to rain tomorrow and then I leave for work.

This time change is really messing me up this year. Not a fan.

I hear there is "talk" about staying on "Daylight Time" all the time and pitching the semi-annual changes. I suspect not enough traction to really change but does anyone know?

No. I did hear that Marco Rubio is against DST, though. Question is always, cui bono?

I started reading a book ~7 PM last night while my wife was watching tv. My wife woke me up and told me to go to bed if I was going to snore. I looked at my watch and it was 7:30. I slithered off to bed and woke up this morning at 6:20. I figure that I slept 11 hours with one pee break. Unheard of for me.

Being topical, maybe I had jet lag from DST or maybe my HRV was incorrect.

We should pick a time and stick with it, whether it's GMT -4 or GMT -5 Eastern Time doesn't matter to me.

Mother Nature is still pissed after rolling through the western states and delivering rain and sleet and gusting winds. I could put the bikes on the trainer or I could make it a Netflix day. Tough decision.

In March, big snow is a part of life around here. I used it to my advantage, and still banged out 125%. Plus, I have a day off today!

We often get a big (for us) snowfall in late March, early April. Melts quickly.

Lucky for us, we'll be in the 30's If it melts too quickly, flooding is an issue.

I feel the same way. When I lived in Arizona right before Needles. I worked in Needles and the change it time was a pain in the ass. Some of my students were from Arizona, others were from everywhere in between. Getting myself or students at the airport at the correct time was a cluster right after we changed times.

I'm 6'-1" Generally I ride a 58cm, my cross bike is a 56 cm. Fits just great. On a 56 I need a 2cm set back post and 120 stem, 175 cranks. Then just beware of you overlap. Especially on the cross with the steeper geometry.
. On a 58Cm, 0 set back post, 110 or 120 stem 175 cranks, all is well.

Sunny with a high of 80F and no wind today. But, alas, I'm at work even though it is "spring break" around here.

Just found my measurements for when I was buying the cervelo. Inseam is 35 inches.

I also found a picture of my old CAAD. Seems like I had less seatpost on the 54 then I do the 58. Granted I had No idea what I was doing then, vs now where I have very little idea what I am doing.

This is a far cry from about a month ago when a few inches of snow and the temps that go with it, shut you guys down for a while. We'll be back to normal tomorrow. I let the first one slide, but when you keep at it, I'll poke back.

I prefer not to have DST- I’d rather have early morning light.
