No turkeys, I did have two bunnies on two different hills, hop out at me this morning. Slammed on brakes for both. Not sure who would have felt more pain if we collided. Them or me. I use the word “hill” loosely.
BTW followed yalls advice, my front disk is no longer rubbing. Thanks for the help.

First tractor activity in a month that I didn't have to bundle up to stay warm.
Normally I would put my cold weather clothing away for months, but there's still a real possibility this will be a year without summer.
And I have bird content.
I was on the tractor, going backwards in a spot between two trees, or I might have missed seeing this little bird on the ground. It was only a few feet away, just sitting there, so obviously not behaving normally. I came around again a minute later, this time got closer, and the bird flew, but again something was wrong because it landed just three feet up a small bank on the other side of a four lane road. Not a place a normal/healthy bird would go, with cars buzzing by so close.
I wasn't sure if it was hurt, stunned, or what.
Really not anything I know how to do as far as bird rescue, but I felt bad about it being there. I decided to finish mowing the section of lawn nearby and then check to see if it was still there.
Several minutes later, I went over there, and yes it was sitting on the bank. I reached down to see if I could pick it up, and it flew back across the street.
Well, that was about all I could do for it anyway, put it in a safer place. So that's my attempted bird rescue story.

My bird story is on the bike trail near Manayunk a couple years ago I rode near a goose who attacked me with its wings. It must have had a nest nearby because it was very aggressive. My cheek got a little red from the wing-slap but otherwise I was more surprised than hurt.

There was one day I was out on our patio, and I heard this loud noise - a bird had flown into one of our windows, and was laying on the ground twitching. I wasn't sure at the time if it was dying, had broken its neck or what. We contemplated what to do for a few minutes - but it eventually came to its senses and flew off and seemed no worse for the wear.

Message from patient I got today:
"I want an MRI of my back."
Refuses to come in for a visit. NEVER mentioned any back problems before. I have no (wait for it) back-story. Just demand for an MRI.
How do you break it to patients that the doctor is not Burger King? You can't just place whatever order you want and "have it your way??"

Growing up in a rural part of upstate New York, I never once saw a wild turkey. Wild life has been coming back and turkeys are common around the town of Bristol that still has wooded areas. I like having that wildlife around. A week ago, in an old cemetary adjacent to the bike path in the next town north of Bristol, was a fine looking, healthy mature doe browsing the new grass. I've seen her there twice and seemingly not over concerned by proximity to people.
