Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Had the work Christmas lunch today. It was interupted by a 5.8, 5.3 and a 6. I didn't spill my wine and we had just finished the meal with the staff told us to leave after the 6. f'n shakes. My family and house are fine. Thankfully I live on the other side of town to today's shakes.

well we do sit astride two tectonic plates. Up the South Island is a right-slip transform fault just like the San Andreas. In the North Island there is a subduction zone extending down from near the Kermadec Islands toward the Taupo volcanic zone.

We get lots of earthquakes every year. most are either too small to bother people or in remote places with no people. every 20 - 50 years we get a big one that happens near a populated centre. Although the last one that flattened a city was the Napier quake of 1931.

I think you should conduct further research into which color pigments yield the lightest paint. I also think you should inject some colors other than black while still setting it up to look good with the clear coated carbon fork. Unless your Cervelo is unidirectional or random carbon finished you could do a logo reveal in clear coat with a less overdone frame design.

I liked it better with black saddle, and bartape, but it looks good either way. I think the fork would look better black.

I had them give me a quote of sanding my old SLC down, all except the downtube logo, and clearing the frame, and they quoted me $1000 last year. That would probably save 40-50g, but the lightness it would put on my wallet is too much. I wish I didn't care about a warranty, I would just go that approach, and do it myself. Colors are overrated. I like it void of colors.

I offer argument A in my case for color. You kids get permission from your parents if you are not of a consenting age and this is also a full NSFW disclaimer. This is apparently making the rounds in the European bike blogs at the moment which is where I found it. Found it on the same page as a review for this stunning example of color and custom Lightweight wheels.
