Oh brother. I have a patient with diabetes who took medicine A a couple years ago and did GREAT. He did so well we stopped it. Now his sugars are up again and he should go back on medicine A. Insurance says they won't cover it unless he tries medicine B AND medicine C.
He tried both medicines B and medicines C, and had terrible side effects.
So we asked insurance to cover medicine A.
They wrote back and said they WILL NOT cover medicine A. Why? Because they say he must try medicine B or medicine C first.

Before Social Security went paperless, they popped a questionaire in the mail once per year, just to see if their charge still lives there. In my, and all expats' cases, they duly put my address on the envelope, put a US stamp on it and sent it out. Every year, they would cut me off for non-return of the form. Every year, I called the embassy in Mexico City and they straightened it out. And around and around she goes; where she stops nobody knows.

Bringing this site back to cycling, my eTap rear derailleur snapped the inner jockey wheel side plate of today’s 50 miler. Carbon asplosion.
The good part is that I was able to get home without much trouble. I had to stop 3x to put the chain back on the lower jockey wheel after it jumped off, assume it would jump off when the chain went slack. Alignment is perfect.
The semi-good news is that the part is available.
The bad news is it won’t be here for three days.
