Technical issues
There have been some random technical issues reported, and we do have the geeks looking into it. If you experience an issue that we can duplicate, please let me know. That will assist greatly with the troubleshooting.

While the dialogue boxes appear, and I can put the text in the dialogue boxes, it simply does not come through to the screen. Before the recent change to the new server and software, I had no problem.
I have to do it manually, typing in the protocol.
However, I have no problem if I sign into BFN using IE 6.0.

Hi - I'm having trouble using the search function as of yesterday. Basically, type in search term, hit enter and....nothing. Blank page with no results.
Am using the latest version of Firefox. Will fiddle with it to make sure none of the extensions are causing a conflict.
Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue?
EDIT: Solved
IT seems that No-Script had recently updated and I need to allow fastclick.com in the exceptions list. Just FYI for anyone else that has this issue

Search preferences not saved
I too am having problems with the search function, it's been maybe 4-5 days. It no longer saves my search preferences.
I like to do a regular search for my name, for "Items posted within the past" 2 weeks, with the results sorted by "Post Date."
However, a few days ago these were reset to default to "*Forever" and "Relevance" respectively.
I've tried repeatedly to re-set these, then clicked on "Save Search Preferences" and "Go"
A dialogue box comes up that says "Search preferences saved" but they aren't.

I wanted to search for all the threads I started. No matter which link I hit (find all posts by vs find all threads by) it brought up just the posts.

I get timed out (logged out against my will) in just a couple minutes when I use foxfire. I've learned to copy my posts before I submit them, but it's a PITA to have to log in every few minutes. This doesn't happen in IE.

Hmm - don't have that problem and have always used FF. Check your settings; maybe something got switched?

the search function really sucks- my recent posts are not found at all any more (for the past few days)-I made a post last night in the Clyde forum and this post is not found using the search on my user name. Even when the search function was working I didn´t like it as much as the old one- much more cumbersome and more clicking around needed- could you not introduce a feature on the search page where one click takes you to the threads with your recent posts in? it is getting really difficult to keep track of my threads now.

The search function and the save preferences function need work. Actually, they need to work if they are to be used. Actually, they don't really need to work if the idea is that no one should use them. Is the old forum around somewhere? It worked.

When I click on a link to another thread on BF it takes forever for the page to load, even though I have a fast DSL connection. It loads the page as though I'm not logged in. Don't know why that should slow things down?

When viewing multi-page topics, the page guide at the bottom is wonky. If I click "last page," I'm taken to the page before last. When I click on the numbered link that's supposedly the last page, it's the same as the second-to-last.
I can't imagine how rendering would contribute, but for what it's worth, I'm on Firefox 2.0.0.12, 64-bit, Linux.

P&R is stuck at 11:05 am, which is a couple hours ago. Thats the latest post that shows up. But I know its still avtive. I'm getting emails of more recent posts.
.
I open up threads, and I get the same thing. None of the recent posts are there. What can I do to get back to the present?
.
EDIT: other forums like FOO seem to work fine... and I've deleted all offline content... which didnt help.

I upgraded my account through PayPal yesterday morning. It doesn't appear that my account has been updated yet. How long should I expect to wait?
Cheers!
Cheers!
