Have used them extensively on fixed gear bikes, both with and without brakes. They're great, very secure, durable, and a comfortable amount of float. Only pulled out once, and it was in my first week of ever riding clipless when I accidentally twisted my foot out too far.

Great pedals
Have had mine for a long time
Without any problems
I rode crank brothers before and broke the spindles 3 times
I ride fixed 95 % of the time

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but when people say "time atacs (for fixed gear)," are they referring to any particular model or series, or are they all essentially the same (aside from build materials, shape, etc)??

The best part about ATAC's are they are rebuildable.
Only con is they're a tad more pricey than their competition.
The ATAC 8 carbon's come in a pretty rad tin tho. Nicest 2 bolt cleat pedal out there imo.

and youll probably never have to. times are ****ing indestructible, you could run them over with a tank and still not unclip accidentally
i love mine, i bash them on rocks and **** all the time and they still have the most solid engagement of any pedal ive used, except for my road pedals with the tension jacked all the way up
atac is all the same, its the name of the mechanism. its just the pedal body and materials that change

With the ones in production, yes. All of their xpresso series, which take a 3 bolt cleat are one sided like SPD-SL and KEO.

love my time ATAC aliums, been riding them for 2 years straight with no problems never.
actually just picked up a pair of NOS aliums on the good ol' ebay. you can usually find them for ~$40-50 or cheaper if patient.
One thing no one has mentioned which i dig is that the cleats are brass and the bottoms of them will flatten pretty quickly lessening any clicking noise that occurs when walking. I used to wear my shoes all day at work and in less than a week new cleats ceased to make any noise at all on hard floors.

So I went and got some MX6's but after about 10 mins of trying to clip in, it appears that my super-cool completely non-pretentious recessed-cleat dzr shoes will not abide all that extra pedal platform. So it's either shave off almost all the rubber from the bottom of the shoe (completely defeating their purpose) or get some different pedals.
My question: Should I get some new XC6's or some used Aliums from ebay?
That said, have some MX6's for sale in great condition. lol
