I LOVE those bars. Midges?
I don't enjoy riding low bars, but I find that bend sexy and aggressive. They're anodized (red to match the frame color) aluminum alloy. There's nothing on them to I.D. the manufacturer, and the Schwinn specs just say 'Handlebar: Alloy Track 31.8'. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d7...FrontBrake.jpg This guy did some serious mods to the same size 2010 Sprint to compete in FG TT. |

I wish I knew who made the bars; I really like them and have had probably a couple of dozen people ask about them.

Might be worth checking out. I've owned a different bar from the same manufacturer and it was good quality. On-One Midge Handlebar | On - One http://d2plslj6xljffa.cloudfront.net...254_P1.jpg?v=t |

Took the Steamroller out for a ride in the woods with some nice folks yesterday.

50voltphantom, I am running a 40/21 (which is super spinny), but makes ripping around in the woods pretty fun. In retrospect, an 18 tooth freewheel might have been a better option.
Mumonkan, I agree. I had a gold seatpost collar, but it was the wrong size. The Thomson in my parts bin fit, so I went with that (a gold collar is still likely in the future. As for the hubs, that's definitely going to have to wait a while. I also plan to give this a run as a fixed gear on the streets, too. |

Having ridden in the woods all weekend on my Steamroller, I heartily endorse this.

It unfortunately did not involve quite as much tracklocrossing as I hoped; I'd like to get messy with this thing a little more. Still very good times, and I love this stupid bike more every time I ride it.
|
Yeah, ripping around in the woods (small as the area was) turned out to be more fun than I expected. I need to find more rideable trails near me now.
That said, I'm enjoying the versatility of the Work frame. |
i love that everyone is riding bicycle cycles in the woods!
@4ndrew - how can one acquire this decal, i want to put it on my roadbike |
I also took my track bike on an "off-road" adventure, too. Light gravel on some well worn hiking paths.

|
^ that is pretty cool, especially the part with the black tires. And yeah, I like it in townie mode as well.
