Looks like an a$$ saver to me |
Correct, it's an arse-saver.
|
Is it worth a damn? Seems like it wouldn't catch much that far from the tire.
|
^I got one that's about the same size. Those things do pretty much what they say, the seat of your pants stay clean but the back of your jacket or shirt will still get dirty.

My Atala, same as last year, and the year before. Should have taken the saddle cover and arse saver off before the pic.
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=498503 In memorium: Recycled at the end of 2015 due to injury. Gotta get another townie http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=498504 |
I have one of those a$$ savers, and it does exactly that. Offers little coverage for your back or other parts. It does help keep the underside of the saddle clean however.

Just finished putting this together. Haven't ridden it yet except around the block. Still needs more work, like lengthening the chain. This is my first SS/FX. The red inspired me to go with the patriotic color scheme.

Just swapped out the fork. Better geometry, tighter clearances, and looks kind of cool. Couldn't pass on an awesome craigslist deal.
Not sure if I'm going to paint it or leave it the titanium color. More amazing garage photos. http://i63.tinypic.com/9i7iwl.jpg http://i68.tinypic.com/6s8ifm.jpg |

dont they fold and tuck under the saddle?
|
kinda. I keep one in my bag along with the tool pouch and u. Takes up effectively zero space.
|
Hmm, maybe I'll pick one up to stash in the bag.
|
Micro fenders are dumb.

Sorry, I've been away for a while, just had an insanely busy year. This is my first build of the year. http://www.istars.co.nz/data/attachm...zn21e55s52.jpg http://www.istars.co.nz/data/attachm...qjqz4qu1jk.jpg http://www.istars.co.nz/data/attachm...jjn2azmwq2.jpg

Is that a good or bad thing? Don't know a lot about this fork.
I don't know about their forks, but i did ride a Vitus frame once and I remember how light it felt. I thought it was nice, a bit flexy but not bad at all. They were super expensive in my day. Sorry, I realize this doesn't help you at all. |
