The seat tube is the pump body, and the handle is inside covered by a screw on cap.
A hose with a schrader end, pulls out. You put your foot on the the angled piece on the floor and use the seat as a handle to pump away. It is as good as a floor pump. Clever and practical design. Dahon puts them on some of their top end models (though sadly not the lowly Boardwalk).

New bike for the past 3 or so weeks. Mish mash of spare parts and parts from my IRO.
I miss my IRO but this bike is just as good...definitely a little snappier to ride.
Still looking/planning for a set of wheels but the weak Canadian dollar is making most purchases online a little harder, so I might find something local...I'm not in a rush to finish this though.

Upgrades were:
Nitto seatpost
Velo Orange Microfiber saddle
Nitto Noddle (M177) handlebars
Nitto Pearl stem (ordered when I discovered that track bars and road bars have different clamp diameters)
DiaCompe Guidonnet levers
Dixna fake leather bar tape
Compass Chinook Pass tires 700x28

I also replaced the wooden stock brake shoes on the Tiagra front brake with a regular replaceable brake pad housing (bracket? mount?) and put in some Kool Stop pads.

I don't know if I'd recommend the DiaCompe levers. They look sweet on the bike, and she likes a retro style so she loves them. They feel a bit squishy to me though. Also, with them pointing straight down, they're tough for her to reach from the flats. Rotate them up a bit though, and the ball on the end of the lever might contact the inside of the drop too soon, stopping you from getting full compression on the brakes. I just need to keep an eye on it to make sure the brakes are tight enough to the rim that it doesn't require much lever action to get sufficient stopping power.

The Compass tires are the business though.

The track ends are basically two plates held on by two chainring bolts respectively, and they have in-built tension screws but I took them off in case they seize on me.

You have to buy the fork separately and the frame isn't sold without the fork. It's actually a pretty decent deal for an Al-7005 frame. Dolan was another option but the geometry was just a little off for me. It was a bit of a pain though, because they'd sent me the wrong frame (they sent me their TT frame) and e-mail exchanges were hard because of the time difference. On top of that, the second frame was sent out to me during Christmas/New Year....so it took almost two weeks to get the right frame. I'm pretty satisfied with the frame though. :)
