Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

new cheap fixie is a blast

so I ordered a kent fixie from Walmart and pit it together last night, I have the free wheel hub on. I gotta say this bike fits like a glove and I'm 6 ft. I just did a 14 mile bike trail and it was great another cheap bike but good review .

Without trying to be too pedantic, when one uses a freewheel hub, one has a single speed, but NOT a 'fixie'.
A fixed gear bike, by definition, has a fixed gear on the hub...not a freewheel.
Your Kent is not a 'fixie'.

I have a cheap Critical fixie and it'a good bike for the money too.
I put new pedals on it a year or so ago and it runs like a Deer.
