Big Block 56/ Mark V 54 sizing?
I have no clue how to use this site but have a question. My big block is a 56, even at 5'11" its too big for me. There is a 54 mark v on offerup I'm looking at buying so I've been reading all these forums trying to figure out how I'm gonna fit on this frame. Until I figure this thread forum thing out I was hoping you could forward this to somebody who may know..? Thanks dude

Well, I'm not sure you'll even be able to find your way back here. But I'd wager >90% of all guys 5'11" tall would ride a 56 or 58cm frame... are you somebody who like to flat foot both feet from the saddle at stop lights?

Considering All-City never made a 56cm Big Block, I'm willing to bet yours is a 55.
I'm 5'10" and have long arms but would size down to a 52cm Big Block based on the long top tube measurement on their frames. I rode a 55cm Thunderdome (which has very similar geo) and it was a touch too big.

I hope I also did this right and thru the magical interweb this gets back to you, thanks for replying first off and I can put both feet flat on the ground without crushing my nuts on the top tube but feel like as far as a track bike geometry its to big for how hard I wanna go ya know? If it was a geared bike I think it'd be cool, but its not.. I don't wanna buy a frame because someone wants to get rid of it not caring whether it fits me or not but don't really have a choice because I don't have yuppy ass bike shop money.. Everything I built this bike with is super nice, I just don't wanna have to learn by trial and error anymore than I have already since I got into it. Thanks dude

Not necessarily. I'm two inches taller than that and usually opt for a 57-58.

Regardless of the manufacturer's labeled size, top tube length is the most important measurement in bike sizing. Get that right an everything else will fall in line.
Also, you want your bike to fit when you are riding it, not when you are standing over it.
