definately the best time I've had so far in the big city.
Next time I'll learn to be more careful about where I'm throwing my u-lock.
it was awsome meeting ya'll.
maybe I'll turn out at prospect park and get my ass beat twice in one week.

so i was talking to someone about these races and someone commented to me that they had never been, but one of the reasons they like the prospect races is because things change up...single races, team races, etc
so...how many people usually show up the the prospect races?...i would love to add more variety to the central park races, but i dont think we have the turnout...average of 7 riders so far
on the upside we had the best turnout ever this past moday with 9 riders plus one that showed up after we already started (sorry bout that!)...also had the fastest finish we have had
so yeah...people shoudl come out next moday

Sorry Ceya, in Pittsburgh this weekend. Which sucks cause I'm dying to get out to the track. Have fun though. Adios.

I expect to be there about 10-11am on my own. I plan on working out for a couple of hours. Hopefully, I'll see you there, Ceya.
It would be good to meet.

Does anyone have info on the Kissena Track? I grew up not far from there and used to rip around the track on my Raliegh Chopper (which wasn't vintage at the time, it was brand new). - Enough aging myself, anyway...
It was always open and anyone could get on the track and ride, except when there were "official" races...is it still the same, or are there certain hours/days/etc..
Are there rules as far as racing? When I raced road many moons ago, I had to get a CAT4 (??I think??) license, then advanced to a 3 (or other way around?)
Thanks in advance.

sorry to everyone that i didnt show up tonight...something about having worked 40 of the last 56 hours on 3 hours sleep made a race (biking home for that matter) seem like a bad idea
as for marble hill being part of manhattan it goes lke this...marble hill used to be the top tip of manhattan, where the hudson and harlem rivers and a creek all met...in 1895 they built the harlem river ship canal effectively making marble hill its own island, technically part of manhattan still...about 20 years later the creek was filled connecting the island to the mainland bronx...despite that it has always technically been part of manhattan
hope the race went well tonight...i need sleep
