i got top out of towner on a conversion last year. that is how i got enough money for a real track bike....
no derailer hangers any more! it is a basic alleycat with set checkpoints so it is a straight up drag race. last year kicked so much ass with a bunch of drafting and pothole jumping. i got into this lead group of about 10 locals and just picked the right one to follow...

Bump...
I'll be there and racing. I almost didn't last year at Terror Trials, but salome talked me into it. I had only started riding fixed about 2 months prior and still rode with a brake, but I took the brake off the day before in order to race. I was riding a conversion and even still had the non-aero metal brake hoods on my bars, with the levers removed. I did OK but made the mistake of following a couple people who turned out to be out-of-towners who got me kind of turned around, went past a couple checkpoints. It really wasn't that bad, and it was one of the most fun times I had on a bike. I would encourage anyone who is even considering doing this to go out and race. Fun times will be had.
Oh yeah, that was the first and last Redbull I've ever had (outside of a Jagerbomb), it was rather warm and nasty as heck.

Bikes: Lots. Mostly steel. Mostly heavy. Mostly geared, and very low, at that.
I rock the brake. I'll probably show up.

I'll check out the party (and the bikes) but I'm not going to race — I'm scared of winning.
