Track Wars Chicago?

I will be dressed as the Millenium Falcon, or a dirtbag. Probably the latter as it is cheaper.

watch out for wookies on the track. I heard they don't EVER hold a good line. I probably wouldn't draft one either...who knows what kind funk gets stuck in all that hair. Of course, since it's a biking event maybe you'll find the mysterious and elusive shaven wookie. A treat indeed. OK...sorry...back to work.

Love to come by and see what it is all about. I should post this over at the Fixed Gear Gallery too. Quite a few inter-gallactic fiends there that would enjoy some face time.

Not the most popular track races at least. There are singlespeed and other races that let you ride anything.

I did the version of this race last year "Terror Trials."
I met Matt and Jeremy in Montreal at the North American Courier Championships in August and they gave me a flyer for it. So I jumped in the Team Car and got down here with 2 other couriers from mpls. A week before the race I started going Brakeless for preperation of the race. I haven't gone back since.
It should also be noted that on that day of the race 10/9 I decided that I was going to be moving to Chicago. I of course envisioned myself working as a courier. But, I said u*** that and now I love the city just as much.
This years race is being put on by Jeremy and ?(i forgot his name) and it is going to be rad. I just hope that they allow me to race as an out of towner since I have a title to defend...kind of. So everyone should race and we can all laugh at the couriers because they do in fact suck donkey balls.
Did I mention I might talk to much trash? If you think I do come out and race me...
Damn there I go again.

I would love to race, but I also love the reassurance that being able to grab a handful of brake in some situations gives me. I was riding brakeless for a while but.....wait a second, I am sorry. I am not going to steal this thread and turn it into another no brakes thread. Enjoy yourselves, and maybe I will see you there.

I was thinking the same, but when the race has over 90 people in it cars will kind of stop for you. Plus it is about going around the city and having fun. If you think that you can win then take it a little slow. all though my mom did in fact not race last year she would of had fun if she did.
it is about the fun not about the street cred if you win. remember these are messengers...donkey ball lickers.

Pretty sure I am going to race but I really don't have any starwars **** to wear. I knew I would be sorry for throwing my darth vader mask away. If I do race it will be my first. Are these things pretty complicated in terms of stops and so forth? I am pretty easily distracted by pretty much anything shiny and I might get lost or something.
