i feel your pain. I've had an NJS bike for a year and a half now, and it's still not perfect. Probably never will be, given the rate at which I acquire new frames I can't afford to build right.

For a good long while: Samson frame, IRO back wheel, DA x Nisi road front, suntour superbe 165 SINGLEIZED ROAD cranks w. Miche BB, chrome colnago fork, campy monoplanar brake, Tektro tri lever, Shimano 600 HS, Cinelli 1A stem and chopped bars, Campy SR post, Selle Royale yellow saddle, eggbeaters. Most blasphemous build in NJS history.

The wheels are now lf DA x CXP33, the crank is a Sugino 75, brake is gone, and the original fork/hs is on. Still running flop and chops and an Italian saddle and post. And I love it to death.

Just ride the damn bike, and consider yourself lucky. The parts will come.

never tried. i went to a local co-op and got a beat up, unwanted pair of tubular rims for 5 bucks, they serve no other purpose than storing tires.

yeah. on my panasonic, like barely any of the parts are njs, I dont care either. I just plan on riding.

i mean sure, good parts ARE good parts right? but its ******** when people get mad(some of you do, admit it) if you see a keirin frame with mix and match parts of quality. i actually LOVE mix and match parts. you get the best of everything. but thats just me and this is all an opinion based rant and im still mad as hell that all the keirin stuff is for the damned midgets.

Mine also uses a 27.0mm seat tube, but I didn't have any trouble finding one - it's actually one of the few parts on that bike that were purchased new. I think I paid $6.99 for some no-name alloy jobber at my LBS. 27.0 is a fairly common size for both Italian road bikes and mtbs, so you shouldn't have much trouble hunting something down. My frame came with a Nitto Jag seatpost and Kashimax saddle, but I had no intention of using the saddle and the 33mm rail width on the jag made it pretty much useless for any other saddle. A BB should be equally easy to find - there are plenty of budget options that will give a close-enough axle length.

in the process of getting built up ... should be all done in about a week or so.

also I do realize it is not the drive side.. sorry, i was in a hurry to ride it.
