Keirin Fixation

i didn't bookmark it, just dug it up out of the "Show off your track bikes pics" in the track forum
parker, i do like the nagasawa a good deal (even though i'm not into risers these days). stick on a white saddle, track drops and paint both wheels white and you'd probably win me over for favorite track bike.
drops are good times on the street, at least for me, because they're nice to get down in when the wind comes, as well as for accelerating from stand still (stop lights). i ride in the drops on my bars every day... if i put some dummy ergo brake hoods on my b-123aa's, i'm pretty sure they'd be just about perfect for the street. i'm thinkin about it...
throw on the bullhorns! you know you're faster with those than risers

It is cheap in Japan for a disc. Nearly any disc will go for 50000 on yahooauc now. I am sure mine would too if I posted it and put something like (mash t19 njs bape kalavinka yabai) in the title.
Andre - My friend here has a funny bike with 2 white discs on it....I will get a photo some time soon.
In regard to the bars....I feel like through the city (100% of my riding is in traffic) risers are the fastest bars, mainly because I can move quickly around cars. In traffic drops are the slowest, for me at least. A year ago I thought I would NEVER ever use a riser/oury combo, but it just works.
I am looking for a white saddle all the time...looking for a cinelli slx (is that the name?)...anything perforated white looks great.
I am building another bike now, 110 spaced 565mm 3Rensho, which I have been collected Italian NJS parts for. It will be a classic track style bike. It is at Vivalo now in Kobe being restored. White with silver metal flake. Campa record njs hubs (pre-C Record) and some other goodness.

It depends. I have two frames to deal with here that arent built. I want to build them both from the parts on my built bike and ride them both and decide which feels better.
When i fly back to the states in a few weeks im gonna have some luggage space issues. Its a mess.
This is the other one.
Maybe im crazy for thinking id keep the Panasonic over the Nagasawa or the Makino i'm riding but i really dig the green color though. One thing that bothers me is having a bike that is in mint condition. The Panasonic has no scratches or even nicks, its perfect. I think id be totally paranoid about it.

Bikes: Guerciotti Pista-Giant Carbon-Bridgestone300- Batavus Type Champion Road Bike, Specialized Hardrock Commuter, On-One The Gimp (SS Rigid MTB/hit by a truck)- Raleigh Sports 3-speed,Gatsby Scorcher, comming soon...The Penny Farthing Highwheel!
Incorrect.
A mint bike just means you know where every single blemish came from (you), inducing baby-like sleep patterns.
Actually, babies sleep like *****. Why do we say "sleep like a baby" anyway?
On second thought, trade that Nagasawa for my Guerciotti and call it a day. You like red. 54 c-t-t?

Oh-oh I just dropped my ravioli in the soy sauce. Oh well, I started this thread, I figure I can derail it a bit.

That Naga would have to be worth more than any Keirin frame. Best colour, best maker, best size, best condition. Also has the Inspection sticker on the seat tube, and a Hatta Swan. Great find Deathhare. That is a really really rare combo, even in Japan. Keep it forever!

I owned a white keirin frame for about 3 weeks. Man did it show the dirt! I figured people would pay more cash for sparkly colored frame jobs in Japan over a white one...

The 2 colours I get the most email requests for, are white and crazy bright colours, like this green/pink etc..
Nagasawa in white is quite rare. Normal is nagano red like mine, or silver. Black ones look a bit crap. Not many other colours are seen on Naga frames...
It is just a ****ing nice clean, perfect frame....I would love to own something like that. It gets no better.
