Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? i always wondered why track bikes put the bars on the top, even though the only part they seem to use is the drops. all the extra tubing and stem. that bike makes more sense to me. any reason why it didn't catch on (or did it and i just haven't seen any like it before).

Bikes: 74 paramount track, 80s maruishi track, 70s chesini track.

that rossin should do battle against that magenta colored colnago with the same weird fork/stem combo.

then the victor of that clash of the titans should go on to attempt to overthrow that one cinelli from FGG for a seat on the thrown of "funniest funny bike ever imagined".

But remember where Alexander Kiritchenko broke his bars in a kilo world champs and finished his ride to finish third?

If I'm not mistaken (?) I think there was a guy from down in Chicago who had welded drops onto his Surly fork like that... who knows, he's probably someone here...

the guy's been selling keirin frames like a machine, the general feeling around here is that he's got a connection in japan and is capitalizing on the track craze, and who can blame him?

His pink Bridgestone is blazing hot. Being 6'1, I don't think I will ever get the chance to ride a sweet Keirin frame, maybe when I do the overseas-teaching-English thing, I can get one custom made or something. Better yet, my own used-Keirin frame hookup to hawk bikes on eBay
