Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, nothing huge, but some do have the top tube handlebar dent. And really it shouldn't affect the strength of a steel frame that much. But I don't think I'd buy a dented one either, for aesthetic reasons if nothing else.

just cover the top tube dent with a top tube protector. Thats usually where the dent it, from the handlebar so if its aesthetic reason, just cover it up. I'd get the level but I know that thing is gonna go upwards of 500 clams.

I don't think those fsa cranks are good.. the 2 metals don't work together.. so the crank is always slipping and loose. I heard of alot of peope having major issues with them.

yeah the crank is not entirely carbon it is a carbon and aluminum and i heard they don't hold together. I know of a bunch of cranks that had to get sent back because of this. I think FSA is trying to fix the problem. I would stay away from the fsa crank.

yeah, the 2004 batch apparently had problems.
the carbon fiber spider is held on by a lockring that eventually works loose.
the 2005's apparently addressed this issue.

E-framebank sells all kinds of frames (i.e. with/without dents, with/without rust, with/without scratches etc.) but they clearly state the condition of the frame and it's faults, if there are any, on the website. Plus their photos are clear and they zoom in on any faults that the frame may have so the consumer won't feel cheated. They sometimes sell brand new frames on the site but they are usually the most expensive and the fastest to sell out. I bought a Giro frame from them because it had no top tube dents or rust of any kind...A near perfect frame. It looked better in person than in the photos. If you guys need any help with the translation of the e-framebank website PM me.

They aren't selling to foreigners right now from I understood. You can just google e framebank and click on the 'translate this page' link and it'll do a pretty good job of translation.

email from e-framebank this weekend:

We can not accept foreign orders now because we do not have enough stock of frames. We intend to reopen taking foreigh o?ders when we can get a lot of cooperation from organizations concerned and the stock increase in number.
We are sorry the time of reopen has not yet been decided.

Yeah, this bike was listed yesterday on CL for $250. I struck a deal with the seller only to learn later that he had changed his mind.
