atleast hes honest. A little misleading about the "make your messenger bike look more like a track bike" part. Isnt it more the other way around?

there are deals to be had on ebay, check it out https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

try to put that together out of parts for less than what the buyer paid.

nice score.

It is a beauty, isn't it? Way out of my price range, but you are right, that is a great deal for such a great bike in such great condition. The seller is well-known too, it seems, so this really is a rare thing to see, a good deal on a great track bike on eBay.

we should start a track-related ebay auction sweepstakes. someoe posts an item that's just come up, all players call what they think the winning bid will be. a buck to play, winner takes all

why? same seller, very similar hub, same reserve, went for $330 a couple weeks ago, 8 bids. Seems reasonable for a rarish item like that, beyond my budget for a hub, but hardly nuts or bananas..

ahh, i didn't know that another one sold so recently, that's the first one i've ever seen, so my guess was based on the rarity and the crazy market for all things fixed right now.

Yeah, I saw one of the 3-speed fixed hubs go for 400 and change maybe 6 weeks ago as well.

I'd hold off on the fixed SA hubs as well, unless you're a collector of such things.
I've heard that those fixed SA hubs blow-up pretty quickly if you skid on them.

I get my SA 3-speed back, all built-up on an open-pro on friday. 3-speed keirin bike will own all of you...

Bikes: A couple customs and some beaters.

Wow, you can even meet him in Harlem to exchange payment for the "hot" bike. Good word choice.
