...or just bite his kneecaps off.
Personally, I'm happier when pedestrians totally ignore me instead of doing the shuffle trying to get out of (or into) my way. It doesn't matter if you don't see me, cos I can see you.

haha this is great, i love hearing about the hardships my fellow richmond cyclists go through. i assume the club area with pseudo thugs is hyperlink cafe on grace? wouldn't surprise me in the least... there's not a night i ride by there without seeing at least one white escalade and getting a bunch of hard looks.
anyway, usually when the pedestrians give me that ****ty look, i cut ********ly close to them as haphazardly as possible as a sort of 'gfto of my way' greeting. can't say i've had any particularly nasty pedestrians though. the closest thing is that one day i almost hit a girl who started blindly powerwalking across the intersection as i had a green light. she popped out from behind this van while i was blowing through at full speed. i caught sight of her just in time, she froze like a deer in headlights, and i slid to a stop right in front of her. it scared the **** out of me to the point that i actually apologized and smiled before i rode off. if i had been in a car i probably would've laid waste to her life. people need to ****ing get a clue. :\

I hate it when it's raining and a group of 60 million pedestrians don't see any cars so they decide to cross the street when I have a green light. Since skidding, skipping, or anything short of flinging myself onto a lightpole will not stop me I just scream at the top of my lungs GET THE **** OFF THE ROAD!!!! I usually end up doing a seated skid through the crowd like I was moses.
That always puts a smile on my face.
A few months ago I got on a kick where I would smack things out of a peds hands if they weren't looking in the direction of traffic and I had to avoid them.
I just learned I have to get surgery on my shoulder because of hitting a ped that j-walked across a bridge.

Bikes: trek 330 (ss), schwinn caliente, schwinn cruiser, a plethora of bike parts that could probably make another bike

Which Ben? Colbert or Cohen?
And I roll with a sexy red trek (Kelley, SS) and red timbuk2 bag so give a hollerskys to me as well.
Also, the chain idea - brilliant. F*ck wearing it around me. Now I'm just gonna lasso b*tches with it. Oh, you wanted to walk in front of me? Funny story, there's a chain in your face.
I think I'll buy a cattle prod to shoo them out of my way. Ooh.. yea, the more I think about it - the more I like it.
