Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Also slowly reading the Bhagavad Gita, even though it's really short.

this is blowing my mind. i'm only to 67 of 600-some pages and it's already making me reconsider a lot of what i've been brought up to think and believe and where i, as a white, self-identified heterosexual male, fit into society and patterns of exploitation and privilege...it's all sorts of things i've heard about for a while from anarchists and such, but this is such a human and philosophical examination of these problems that it completely re-classifies, re-frames the whole conversation to something much more personal and yet universal...this is blowing my mind.

I'm reading Fever Pitch right now and really enjoying it, but I think that anyone who isn't an Arsenal fan or a football fan might find it really boring.
