Spring comes early in Philly and I ain't complaining at all.

Say good morning to overhead electric, cable and telephone wires:

Slowly but surely, starting about the first week of March, the Canada geese on Kelly Drive:

revert to their natural state, clumps of crab grass:

And water is piped down the rock shelves on the Forbidden Drive when overnight lows are below freezing, for dramatic effect:

I heart those formations. We didn't really get much this year.

All these pictures of cool cities or awesome rural areas are making me regret my decision to take a job in friggan Rhode Island...

Snowy and dreary:

Coming over the river into my apartment building (old converted mill):
http://cole.nitroy.com/blog/gallery2...serialNumber=1

I only like Rhode Island at night when all the stupid people are asleep:
http://cole.nitroy.com/blog/gallery2...serialNumber=1

More in the woods at night shots:
http://cole.nitroy.com/blog/gallery2...serialNumber=1

In Boston (so home sick...) someone got a shot of me at the anonymous scientology protest and my bandana had been blown to the side so I guess I wasn't so anonymous...: Check out the dude with the mustache in the back of the picture. Talked with him a for a bit... really strange classy dude.

It is amazing how fugly we let all of our cities become. Could there possibly be any more garish signs, poles, wires & crap. Not to mention miles of cars.

Not picking on Orlando (but I could). Could be any city in America.

I think in some countries in south america billboards are not allowed. Most cities do have some form of ordinance but it is all driven by who ever wants to give the city the most money for whatever garish **** they want to put up.

Speaking of which, it always freaks me out a little when I visit Atlanta and see all the billboards on the sides of roads showing messages from 'god.' So tacky and strange. As in:

Exactly!! It's because we've gone from urban, human centric environments, to car/vehicle centric. That place is just not a place fit for people. Horrible.

Is that from the downtown tornado last night in ATL? I heard it struck the Georgia Dome during the SEC championship basketball game and ripped part of the roof off. Did it do a lot of destruction downtown? I also heard some of the skyscrapers got windows blown out. Thats crazy!!

Maybe I'll go hang out at Castle Dracula. They sound like good people.

They are nice people. That place is so un-scary.

Oh it's really crazy. Check out AJC.com for more pics. Fortunately my wife snaged me from work in our car or I would have been riding right into the middle of it. We were driving past the Cotton Mill lofts when it hit, I though the car was gonna turn over.

What hit?
