As for the curved seat tube + short stays, what constitutes short stays? I've got a pursuit bike with a curved seat tube, and I don't feel like the q-factor is very high (then again, my cranks have a very low q-factor, so maybe it compensates).
What about q-factor? What's a "usual" measurement these days?
P.S. That was me, not Juvi-Kyle that shook your hand at NAHBS.

why not use a 650c wheel and curved stays to get it [even] shorter?

These bikes are fun!
What is it about pursuit frames that everyone just wants to paint them orange?
Presenting, the Creamsicle
I have since replaced the fork with a carbon fork which allowed me to lower the stem.

KHS stopped making there aero track pursuit frames cause they are pointless for the mainstream market.
I have been riding mine for a few years now and have one main point to share. Everything that makes a track bike fun on the street is the opposite of these frames. They are tight, well over and frankly so tight as to be twitchy.
they do however look cool.
If you are riding on the track or for bling its good. Otherwise they will create a love-hate loop.
I finally discovered a good bar-stem combo and decided to keep mine, but beforehand...
Oh, don't run a brake or it will just be a crash machine. You are already half over as it is.
I used to crash once every three years. When I ran the brake I crashed three times a week.
Oh, my combo is...slight rise riser bars and flat nitto stem.

yup, it's twitchy. the wheelbase seems really short.
and yeah, if you're going to use a brake shift your weight back a little, no crashes.
this is my latest setup, i've only had it for about 3 weeks, and i've grown to love it.
i had 2 'beaters', a pista and this, i had to sell one and chose to sell the pista.
this bike is too fun.

It has a round fork and very tight tolerances, normally not associated with pursuits.
Looks liek it would be a blast to ride!
