Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just because your bike is better-- or you've been "In It" longer-- doesn't give you any right to attack someone for buying a decent starter bike, or being a little awkward as they are learning. As for assuming that my bike will be on craigslist in three months, way to go. That's the kind of **** that simply strengthens an opinion of dislike for the average bf user. I mean, it's really awesome to judge people without knowing anything about them... After misinterpreting their statements, no less.

Don't get me wrong, I love it here... But you can't deny that people are completely stuck up their own asses when shielded by the Internet.
No doubt about that. Just PM me when your bike is for sale.j/k (I'm an ass in "real life" too )

my first negative track bike experience happened just the other day while riding in a car looking over at a bike trying to make out what kind it was, the girl riding it flipped me off... made me bust out laughing, which in turn made her appear to get angry.

Bipedal locomotion is probably right around the time we started to have fun. It allows **** habilis to evolve a big brain, learns to hunt, stops being prey, learns to work well in teams, and gives our ancestors a bit of respite from the fear of being constantly hunted. This in turn gives them time for some fun. And riding bikes. Yay for bipedal hominids.
