Which Web Host?
I will no longer be able to host IP's myself, so sometime soon
I'll need to find a host. Ideally it would be able to
run php/mysql and include tons of storage. Oh ya, and cheap!
Who do you use?

Not that I know much about this but Nearly Free Speech.net is really cheap, at least for my uses, and they've got an interesting system.

After several clunkers, I finally settled on https://www.edmunds-enterprises.com/linux/index.php
They seem to have some expertise in house, whereas the others just ran off the shelf systems and network access, and didn't have a clue if a special need or question arose.

monkey: drop me a line if you would like to talk to the guys who do my hosting (https://nsihosting.com). They own their own racks, very cheap, excellent support, and they will do custom installs/work if needs be. Its great having the root-owners on AIM 24/7 incase something goes wrong, you need a patch/upgrade installed, etc

loren actually got bought out. it's still josh (lorens partner/killoggs dude) and two other guys. it's getting pretty pro now i guess. josh actually was bought out too, then bought controlling stake in the company that bought him and loren out. i dont get it all. it's still basically run by 3 punk dudes though.

godaddy.com is cheap and has tons of transfer/space and no setup fee. Downside is the support you have to wait like 10-15 minutes for. I wouldn't need support so I'm okay with that if I get everything I could ever want for $4 a month or something stupid like that.

im using midphase they are in chicago. helpful support and good deals - at least complete overkill for me. my needs are pretty basic.
marc (marklesparkle) i think also used dreamhost
i think we tried to move a site from godaddy and they would not release the domain or something to keep it from moving to the new host, also midphase.

Don't use doteasy. I had them for a while and used them for two clients. Hell. One of my domains is stuck there and two of my domains I lost because they didn't unlock them in time, eventhough they said they would. Bad news. Servers went up and down a bit too often for my liking too.
Based in Canada so tech support is a bit iffy at times.
