what the **** is the point of that? ^^^^
|
campy made hi-lo strada hubs for a short time in an effort to normalize spoke tension..
but this looks like a prototype or one-off pista version, made with a rivetted-on early gran sport type flange.. you can bet there are not too many of those out there |

babel fish wont do it |
many things can be tried, nothing will be effective
|
google translate is decent. if not entertaining at least.
|
yeah `effective' is a relative term. I meant `for sure enough for me to start entrusting my money to someone/thing based on the translation.' for this I don't know of any good enough engine.

arg...i can't believe i missed that. 75 dollars!

hey, i'm new to bikes and i've been looking for an inexpensive fixed gear frame and i came across this one on ebay for only $199.98, but it costs $139.00 to ship. do you think that's a good deal? it says 105 inches, is that the right size for me? what else do i need to buy to make it a fixed gear? where can i buy spoke cards?

that high low hub went for 1k and the schwinn went for 76 bucks
lol |
hey, i'm kind of new to the whole fixie thing, and i was wondering if this seemed like a good starter bike: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/376703608.html i'm going away at the end of the month, so i'd like to get one before that, so i can take it with me. and at the very least, i'd like one before school starts. i used to be all about bmx, so like i said, i know very little about this stuff.
thanks in advance. xoxo conor |

definitely not worth $175, maybe $75. dont bother buying pre-built conversions, they're all rip-offs, and you should learn how to build it yourself.
|
To that end, when you want to unload a conversion, what's the best course of action: restoring the original drive train, etc., and possibly offering to throw in the fixed wheel/hub you were using, or selling it as a conversion for a non-rip-off price?

Why is it that even knowing there is no way that bike will fit me, I have to resist trying to buy it? And I don't even like green that much!
