This bike looks like it would fit me well. Do you think it's worth the 75.00? Does anyone know what model this is? Riffcat is really just talking out his ass. |

I don't know much about bikes. It looks like a big frame. I'm a big guy. I don't come across vintage frames that often. Just looking for a little help. If you can't help then don't say anything. You must be stressed out a lot if little things like that bother you so much. Thanks. Eric |
Thank you for your thoughts. I'm 6' 4" and riding a bike that is a bit small for me. I thought this looked promising. I'll be taking a look at it soon.
Thank you! |

Eric I wasn't trying to be a dick. i was legitimately expressing my opinion and concern of about the lack of information that cragslist add provided. in fact i really thought you may have posted it as a joke. |

really, im sorry if i upset you. i was curious as to why you decided on that bike without knowing frame size, model, components or virtually nothing about the bike for anyone to make an educated decision. I spend quite a bit of time on craigslist and there are usually dozens of other similiar looking candidates that provide plenty of information to make an educated decision.

Like you said, the picture tells ME nothing about the bike which is why I posted it here. I thought maybe someone could tell me something useful which is what delicious and bonechilling provided me with. I appreciate your apology. The Nashville craigslist isn't so great and nicer vintage road bikes are rarely posted. Thanks |

Apparently you're the only one who DOESN'T see a worthwhile bike in that photo, because everyone else seems to know that a Nishiki with DT shifters is probably a butted 4130 frame with decent components, and would be perfect for someone looking for an inexpensive road bike to ride as-is or make into a fixed gear conversion. All of this is ignoring the likely rarity of extra-large frames in the Nashville area which would accommodate taller riders, like the OP. I look at Craigslist every day and I very rarely see bikes that nice for that cheap. |

how's this for a new bike to commute with? deal or no deal? |
to commute with, pretty terrible. but man snatch that thing up!
^^can you tell me why it would be a bad commuter?
Aluminum is pretty stiff and harsh to be commuting around on. Also the use of 600c wheels on a frame that doesn't need them is pretty weird.

That Cannondale is from another planet or something. I'd pass on that, even for $125.
oh ****, i didnt even look at it properly. it's not even a track frame. I saw downtube shifter bosses and then realized it's just some weird frame.
its hard to say. there appear to be decent enough cranks/pedals on it but the frame itself is straight gaspipe
right on.
