The crank is like 1/8th of the picture and off to the side. What's in the centre?

I'm so over this thread being re-stuck. I always click it, thinking it's the Photo or Trade sticky. Bah.

Rather out of my price range, but a nice buildup of a Kalavinka nonetheless. (Though I can't say I like the aesthetic of those rims)

The lustrous paint is black with metallic gold, and the fork is 24k gold. The photographs, especially the shot of the head tube, show the metallic gold flakes in the black paint

best of both worlds:

Who would have thought that the kids at the turn of the century were into rear suspension. And it has track fork ends...

p3ntuprage 12-22-06 05:29 PM

I am totally fascinated with that fork - it's all and only a giant spring with a steer tube and fork ends. I'm totally picturing myself on a crazy upright bike with fat tires on big wheels boinging over some trails. Does anyone have one of these, or one like it? I looked on fgg and didn't find one. A pic going fast with both wheels in the air over dirt would be amazing.

Dura Ace NJS Seatpost

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Shimano-Dura...QQcmdZViewItem

I got mine for $60 plus shipping, and it turned out to be an SP-7410 NJS marked post. They had some higher priced ones listedd for non-auction, and I can't say for sure if they all are NJS, or perhaps if all of the Dura Ace road seatposts were marked as such.

luckycat 12-23-06 06:09 PM

Careful, those things tend to break. And all the ones I've seen have been njs stamped.

jacobpriest 12-23-06 06:42 PM

Other than Carbon and groups, can someone explain 60$ on a seatpost?

???

Quality? A thomson post costs around $60, too..

I think that's what you're asking.
