Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

wow, weird--I had to go read about those and it occured to me,
"what if the use of the headtube as a race makes it all pitted and
wack and then you can't replace it." Weird. Turns out King has a rant against these. No
experience with them personally.

Anyway that white bike needs a shot of something, but looks
fun to bomb around on.

80's time machine is what make sit cool. I mean literally, it looks like a machine made in the 1980's that can travel through time.

I would skid into every portal.

Do you just want plastic toeclips? If so and your LBS doesn't have them, they can surely order them. Maybe you're looking for something specific and I just didn't get it.

It is indeed Bobo. He was a messenger before you knew what a tricycle was. Don't think I've ever seen him ride fixed though.

At the first 24hr race in atlanta he got a prize because he signed up and paid, went out on the first lap and got lost (which is impressive since it was a set route that had been mapped out for weeks), went to the liquor store instead and came back to the start/finish and began 24hrs of drinking. He got the prize for the fewest laps.
