169 + ship for a lugged track frame sounds like a good deal. And yeah, it's probably 4130 but so is the Pista and KHS (albeit double butted and of Reynolds variety). Wait a few weeks for the feedback to accumulate than get one and post a review.

Almost certainly the KHS/Mercier (rack mounts on the dropouts and seatstay, lugged fork, etc.)

Edit - Nevermind, it clearly states in the Mercier Kilo TT!
BTW, all the sizes you see in the ad are the top tube measurements. a 60cm frame will have a 64 c-t seattube, and the 57 is 61 c-t.

the rack braze-ons are confusing but otherwise it's a decent alternative to the group buy frame.

Canti mounts? I wonder if they have a SS CX frame and a track frame. That would explain the geometry.

Edit: NM, the web site explains it.

I was wondering the same. Maybe the one he is holding has the slack geometry.
This one on velospace is pretty tight geometry. Looks good.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking about getting one of these. I would love a first hand review.

This is the kind of thing you could buy for that price but sell it on craigslist for 300 bucks.

Damn, is there any damn reason not to get the Mercier frame and sell my Steamroller frame for the rack mounts?

I think the real question is; this frame or the Kilo TT frame? Also, is it drilled for brakes?

With all the weird stuff with these frames i cant see buying one. The geometry listed is clearly different than the frames pictured. The frames pictured have threadless forks while the seller says youll get threaded? Zero feedback. No idea what its made of.

That photo shows mad clearance for fat tires too... If you want a SS Cyclocross frame, this is it, methinks!

But it's gonna be fun when someone buys one and it cracks in half.
