I'm seriously disappointed, although not really surprised, by how many suckers on here actually bought that thing.

The lined dickies ones are pretty fantastical. I mostly wear one from trackstar (not the new one with pockets, the old one with the Cadillac style crest), it's printed on an american apparel hoodie, which is wicked soft, and reasonably lightweight, which I like. Plus, they'd be easy to find blank.

And as long as we're on the subject of cold weather--never underestimate the comfort level of a nice soft cashmere scarf and gore-tex ice climbing gloves (great grip and finger sensitivity).

Thrift stores have lots of hoodies. If it is still not warm enough buy another. It will cost you a lot less than a new one, and will do its job.

My housemate has one of these:

I've always been awed at how practical this thing is. I'll probably order one in the near future.

I really like the trackstar one, but 41 bucks is a bit pricey. I love that it does not have logos and the rear jersey style pockets are awesome!

Yeah that looks cool. Does she do custom stuff? I would get one if it was made out of something water/wind resistant and maybe had some pockets in the back like a jersey.

When the weather gets cooler, I add the wool baselayer and arm warmers; sometimes the leg warmers. You can remove them when it warms up. Toe covers for the shoes. Headband to cover the ears.

Then it's the long sleeve jerseys with long sleeve baselayer and my Campagnolo bib tights. Cycling toboggan to keep the head warm.

Add a windbreaker to the above ensemble and full fingered gloves if it gets colder/windier.

Next up is a winter jersey that blocks wind. Colder than that and I use my winter cycling jacket and balaclava. Booties to cover the shoes and heavy wool socks. Good to go into the 20's. Doesn't often get colder than that here in the daytime.

Yeah, my cycling clothes cost more than your bikes combined. But that's what it takes to get ahead in the Poseur game.
