Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cellphones have cameras for 2 reasons. First of all the basic concept of a phone hasn't really been improved upon since they made them small enough to fit in your pocket, but they want to sell you a new one every couple of years, so they need to invent reasons for you to buy one, they add features that add nothing to the functionality of making a phonecall, but seem spiffy. THEN they charge you to send the pictures you took to yourself and to your friends. Now they have you buying 2 things you didn't even know you needed.

I suppose the light on the key might be sorta like that if they figured out a way to bill your credit card a penny every time you pushed the button, but I think it's really just a nifty thing to be able to shed a little light on a keyhole from time to time.

ok, i'm done being cranky.

for what it's worth, i don't use the key with the light on it. its more important that my key ring fit in my back pocket.

My main complaint about that key with the light on it is that key broke for me in about a week.

This is ridiculous. This tool has an amazing way of getting all of his threads over 2 pages. He's trolling and nobody's even noticing.

It's so you can condense a separate light and key into one unit, thus declutterizing my keychain.

On a cool note I just got the NFYU in yesterday and I love it. It is amazing, I know feel alot more confident about locking my bike up.

I took some pictures so you can see the sheer size of the lock and shackle.

Shackle

Polylube tube (Thinner than the shackle)

Propel bottle. (About the same size.)

And finally my light lock key is actually green. Which is my favorite color and substantially better than blue. So I took a picture of that to.

But it's fun to con-troll the troll.

Try and lock up to a heavy cow so it's harder to tip her over and get the lock off her leg. Or lock up next to a cow with a nicer bike on her. The light is to help avoid cow chips on the ground.
