Dude it was pretty legit! And the food wasn't that bad. I'd eat all of those things again!

youth 01-27-08 12:36 PM

watching jake throwing up repeatedly from eating garlic covered in sriracha was totally worth not racing

that stuff was really gross. spicy...

but whatever...come to the race we're putting on and i promise there shall be no foul food.
i just checked the extended forecast thing, and the weather is supposed to be very suitable for the apocalypse.
oh and in case anyone is confused, its at the hydro power plant...not the slab where slaughterama takes place.

the forecast for the 9th keeps changing. its not looking so wet anymore...chance of flurries and its going to be mid 40s. plan to dress warm. it'll be worth it. i hope everyone is well. any who would like to get up and play polo, its SUNDAY 1PM AT HOLLY STREET PARK. get there.

Anyone local have a 17T 1/8 cog they'd be willing to sell or trade for a barely used 16T Dura-Ace?

piratelove 01-31-08 03:26 PM

I might, I'll have to check.

VAwitt 01-31-08 04:40 PM

Hey, does anyone know a guy with an eddie merckx road bike in the area, he looked sorta stocky, white, had what looked to be a 50/50 type cap on, male, early 20's... It definitely was not piratelove (sage)... The bike was mostly red and the front wheel was laced radially with high flange silver hubs.

The reason Im so curious is because Wednesday evening I was hit by a car and seriously injured. He was one of the people who stopped, got me to calm down and made sure I was OK. He stayed with me until the paramedics showed up and I am very thankful. If anyone can help me find him I will be very thankful.

piratelove 02-02-08 07:35 AM

It's someone who works downtown, I forget his name. Ask Luke, or Jake.

gearkraft 02-02-08 10:00 AM

thanks... ill do that.

Was that at Harrison and Marshall?

gearkraft 02-02-08 12:14 PM

bingo. How did you know?

Vortecks 02-02-08 12:17 PM

I work for VCU police, and one of the officers, who happens to ride fixed, told me about it Wednesday evening.

Hope you're doing all right?

gearkraft 02-02-08 12:42 PM

Im doing better, thanks... My face is pretty ****ed up. My top lip was basically ripped in half up to my nose. Chipped tooth as well, but considering I could be a vegetable I am very thankful.

Ill be honest, Im a little scared to ride again.

piratelove 02-02-08 12:59 PM

I heard about that. Glad you're ok man. Take it easy!

I didn't ride (mostly because i -couldnt-) for a month+ after my accident. It sucked, but that first ride was pretty nerve wracking, too.

Straws 02-02-08 01:27 PM

if you're at liberty to talk about it, what happened?

also, i drank my first 40 last night. does that officially make me bike trash?

If it was an aluminum Merckx cyclocross bike, I think I know. PM me, I'll let you know how you can get in touch to say thanks.
