Good catch...one-and-the-same.....Rob at Dolce Velo did a great job putting the bike back together after getting the powder-coat (used to be grey/black) and some back/forth on what parts to use.

Here's some pics of a pre-'73 Sekine single speed I just got done building for a friend (he's not ready for fixed yet!). Paint is Sherwin-Williams Polane polyurathane enamel (6 parts color to 1 part activator). Color is called Dunes Tan but my friend's wife calls it "skin color". The Naked Bike!
Wheels are Mavic Red Label with Dura-Ace hubs. New UN 54 BB. Brake calipers and levers are NOS Shimano 600. Rear caliper is a short-reach so we made a "drop-bolt" which we machined and glass-beaded along with the rather long headset spacer. H/bar is a Cinelli 64 with a 1A stem. NOS chrome fork and Kalloy one-bolt seatpost are new, too. Not shown is the stainless steel bolt holding the caliper to the fork. The bolt is a 1/4-20tpi which we drilled and tapped an M6 metric thread through the middle of it for the caliper (this caliper required a recess bolt and the fork is an older model and, well, this is getting too hard to explain!). This project turrned out to be alot of work but I don't think it ended up too bad! |
^ that is one serious headset spacer
you look like you spent some serious time on it... why not cut down/rethread the fork? |

Wow I love that! Paint the tires? How are the egg beaters on a fixed? overall clean and elegant build! Nice work
|
thanks
paint? what the hell. the only paint in that picture can be found on the wall and ceiling. beaters work. |
