Some updated pics of my Windsor. (not the same company that makes "The Hour")

I need some advice. Would silver hubs and spokes look better? I have identical Formula hubs and Sapim Race DB spokes in Silver sitting around for a different build, but was thinking they would look pretty nice on these rims/bike instead. I figure theres a lot more chrome/silver than black on the bike, silver might fit better. I would build up a blacked-out wheel set with the black stuff if I do swap, so nothing would go to waste. Also, I would lace them myself, so it wouldn't cost anything.

What do you think? I cant decide.

Thanks!

Yes. Black hubs on that bike = fail

Nice bike. If you are going to go all upright bars and towny
then get a proper CETMA rack and put the basket on it,
the basket alone looks nice but will crumple under great weight.

I was wondering how long that would take.

*sigh*

around here lots of seatpost means way too small of a frame. screw actually looking at the frame to see the geometry. All you need to see is seatpost.

marqueemoon 02-01-08 09:17 PM

^It's a fair amount of drop, but not a crazy amount.

I_luv_hooters 02-01-08 09:33 PM

that seatpost length looks great. you guys are trippin! I like the basket and bars combo. I'd like to do something like that but with a bigger basket and different grips.

Beautiful, sniks.

jerrymcdougal 02-01-08 11:15 PM

^^ Oh wow... when I scrolled down to that pic I instantly thought it was the essence of what I think a sexy frame is.

The only thing I would change if it were mine is I would throw a white Turbo, Vetta or Kashimax on there. And maybe even high flange hubs. Regardless, its sexy just as is.

bonelesschicken 02-01-08 11:20 PM

Is it just me or are the pedals on that uhhh... DAB white? Anyhow its sick, more pictures plz.

Yeah, I think silver hubs and spokes would be way better too. Black spokes only work on a 'modern' bike (i.e. no lugs, carbon, black stem/seatpost, etc.) or a *really* audacious build. Yours is classic so go silver.

still might change a few things......maybe throw my HED3 back on and maybe some rb-021s
and the seat is still up in the air......

Oleanshoebox 02-01-08 11:33 PM

That pista w/ the big cheese grips is the shiznit. So anywho, I want a steamroller. Can I be down with the young hipsters if I get one? Who likes Jack Kerouac, hmmm? c'mon, anybody? wine is god.

el twe 02-01-08 11:41 PM

No HED 3 on that bike, plz.
