The only thing I would change if it were mine is I would throw a white Turbo, Vetta or Kashimax on there. And maybe even high flange hubs. Regardless, its sexy just as is.

Leave it to bikeforums to have someone to suggest replacing campy record hubs because they're not high flange.

Low flange is the new high flange by the way.

Cool, I agree. I think the blacked out wheelset will go on the frankenframe im brazing together. It started off as an old Sanwa, but with some brazing skills it will (hopefully) turn into a Yamaguchi asymetric inspired contraption. I just ordered some nice cast track dropouts for it from Nova framebuilders supply. It will be lugged, but have some very modern looking modifications so I think the black theme is in store. Maybe I'll post some pics if anyone is interested.

I would only replace them with Record high flange hubs. I wasn't suggesting formulas haha. It was just what I personally would change. Im sure its exactly how sniks likes it, and thats awesome. I just thought I would comment about nearly perfect it was compared to my "dream" bike. You don't see a physical manifestation of a dream too often.

It is. That ranks up there with the Soft Ride track bike that has floated around due to Pedal Mafia. I thought about it being a TT bike but it does not have a der hanger. Next time I am by the shop I used to work at I'm going to ask them if they have ever seen one.

still might change a few things......maybe throw my HED3 back on and maybe some rb-021s
and the seat is still up in the air......

If that bike doesn't get on the velodrome you should be punched in the vagina.

if they build a velo here like they say the are it will, but with the wish bone rear its a little flexier than I thought it would be.
the frame and fork is lighter than hell though.

sniks, i freaking love that bike... the little details are a plus. a white saddle would set it off. questions:
1)what headset do you have? its fat and silver (I want one)! All the silver on your bike is the same satin finish... :)
2)whats going on with the bar ends - is it just the cut-off bar or a big silver grip endplug? i cant tell.
3)those are campy low flange hubs, right? ecxuse my ignorance: are they sealed or nonsealed? i love them.

still not sure about the final set up but go the ass couch for some distance. and the white one of that saddle I could only find in carbon and was BANK.
still feeling this set up out.

1. Campy contax hs.
2. MASHsf bar ends
3. yes campy low flange, not sealed

Whatever happened to those two vintage frames you scored? Every time I see your name pop up in this thread I expect to see them built up.

The Atala is going to be sold since it's a little too big for me but the Carlton is a keeper. I just need to tweak a few things and get some bar tape for it. I can't believe how light it is for a steel frame.

Nice bike. If you are going to go all upright bars and towny
then get a proper CETMA rack and put the basket on it,
the basket alone looks nice but will crumple under great weight.

Are you sure? Cetma uses the mounting hardware from that basket. not that the basket itself is super strong, but is he going to carry bricks or something?

I've got one and I love it. Real ***** to find online because I'm pretty sure it was a limited run.
