It was my wife's Bianchi and it was a little big for her so I swaped the Ultegra components to her new smaller frame and had the Bianchi frame left to play a round with. Eric's hub, 17 tooth BMX freewheel and some $20.00 brake levers. Before I knew it I had a single speed.

looks good to me.

Heres a teaser shot of the back end of my new whip (just cause its so weird). Don't get to pick-up the frame until March, as its many many miles away.

Is that Ceya's Alma Pura, or some other ridinkulously butchbear of a ride?

Not Ceya's Alma Pura. Its a custom frame with a weird rear triangle, sort of an industrialised version of the Harry Quinn wishbone stays seen here - http://www.bikecult.com/works/archive/hquinntrk.html.

That bike while nice doesn't really fall under the super rare italian bike from the 70's conversion category.

One of the best conversions I've ever seen. Really nice.

sniks 02-02-07 11:52 PM

truely is the best conversion i have ever seen ,well with the exception of that PHAT Basso that was posted a few days ago.

Corcis 02-03-07 12:31 AM

Not to hate on anyones bike, as I rode a jankass conversion for a year, but the black+blue isn't doing it for me.

I'd love to see that peugot built up with as many french parts as possible. Mavic hubs and MA2s, Stronglight cranks, and that wicked Stronglight R2D2 headset. White saddle, white tape. Au revoir top tube pad. Fait accompli.

Some white shoes and a matching bag, and it's like you a new woman, honey. Fait accompli.
