So here's an update of the "do it all'r". BTW If you're curious Mark Vs can fit up to 35mm tires on it. Tires are Vittoria Randonneurs with reflective strip. Get at nashbar for a little less than $30 if you enter the coupon code

My preferred Gyeswho bike - it's really nice. Best "black"-bike, imho.

sniks 03-07-08 09:54 AM

just hate bullhorns.
i love the Iro with risers
different strokes.......

Gyeswho 03-07-08 10:03 AM

wow you're one of the few who said they hated horns. I agree with risers being that business but on the long rides horns really are a wonderful thing. I've done a 50miler with risers but it got annoying having only 2 positions

Do you use a shorter stem with the 'horns?

Gyeswho 03-07-08 10:10 AM

yea it helps keep things acceptable without having the reach too long
I had an 80mm stem on the C'dale when it was mine

Then how come the frame is not bent? Also, did the car decide to take the handlebars with it?

This looks 90% malicious to me, as if someone kicked the wheels, like it the "bro trap" thread.

I might be wrong, of course. That's the 10% I reserve.

I was thinking that too, until I looked at the cranks.

Yeah, that is why I asked, it looks like only the wheels were damaged.

I was just going to say that. I thought it was some ****** ****ing with a bike until I saw a broken pedal and bent crank.

fungis 03-07-08 01:14 PM

i have another pic, and the dropouts are mangled on the other side. i'll try to find it......http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/b...05-busted2.jpg

Iro is a road geometry,most surlys,masis,ect.ect....lame excuse.

Sure, but why are Surly's, Masis etc better than a Condor road frame? Who says that track frames are automatically the thing? Is it some sort of contest that says if you're gonna have one stupid thing (aerospoke) then you need to have two? Should I start ragging on all the track frames that don't have aerospokes? What about a polished rear disc like that Panasonic - does my EG Bates suck because I don't have one of those? Seriously, this is a stupid looking bike, but, meh, so are half y'alls bikes. Top tube pads, etc bleh. So it's a stupid looking bike with a road frame - at least that may mean he rides it further than if he had a track frame.

queerpunk 03-07-08 01:30 PM

that bike belongs to a NYC messenger who was hit, it seems, by a van running a red light. he got pretty ****ed up.

I was browsing the MTBR.com singlespeed forum and found this:
