Just finished this build for the wife. A Front Brake will be added , just had to snap a shot before it got dark.http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...o20/Fuji-1.jpg

Get her some clips too!
and probably want to have a bolted axle on that rear wheel.

Just some suggestions.

bexley 01-18-08 07:56 PM

There's nothing wrong with the quick-release there. But yea, if it's fixed definately get her some clips & straps and pedals that make it easier to get into the clips.

All in all, very nice conversion. Loving the gumwall tires.

Retem 01-18-08 09:53 PM

your logic is amazing!

If you really want to "sharpen" up the look of that bike, add some bullhorns.

With the bar ends facing up.

With 3 inch metal spikes in them.

I_luv_hooters 01-19-08 01:53 AM

Nice, but point those pursuit bars down a bit until the bar is level with the ground. then retake the pictures. then it will be a cool bike!!

The tires are Continental GP 4000 and yes they make them in several colors.

Here's my just completed bridgestone- I'm not adding a front brake, I'm leaving the top tube protector/ velocity stickers on, and I'm riding the brooks in the rain!!

+1 on the frame

-10 on the complete build

cc700 01-19-08 05:08 PM

that bridgestone is awesome, those choped flatbars are beyond stupid, and stealing signs is mad lame.

andre nickatina 01-19-08 05:26 PM

Yeah, Deep V's on an NJS frame is getting beyond cliche, and it's all the same-old same-old elsewhere besides the seatpost, but hey, if it's fun for you than cool. I love my Bridgestone.

I agree that the parts are customized, but not custom

is that a scwinn world?

if it is did you dremmel out the dropouts?

looks great by the way!

carbonjockey 01-19-08 07:00 PM

+1 on that pink bike: best conversion ive seen (and great rattle can)

Teevoe 01-19-08 07:00 PM

^^ It's a Fuji

letsthrowfries 01-19-08 07:15 PM

Let me post the pics with the araya's tubies and b123's on the frame, then I can get the +1 back so I can have -8 total. Haha, not- I sold the araya rims I had to my friend and gave my superbe hubs to my brother since he got me some cranks.

Personally, I like the bullhorns and deep v's, I'm really not comfortable running tubulars or drops in blacksburg (or los angeles for that matter)- the bike lane debris and hills are beyond manageable so forget that njs track set up. I ride my bicycle and rideability and comfort are somewhat a priority- :p

The flatbars on the pista are from a broke set of drops and the sign is from a construction job I had one summer. So boo on you.

Are you selling it? There's a craigslist posting for this bike.

At the moment it is single speed (with just a front brake, I know, I know) but I'm going to be getting a fixed wheelset soon. The top tube is a few cm too short for me, hence the extra long stem.

Straws 01-19-08 10:53 PM

I posted it in the Pista thread but it's been since I bought the bike that it's been in here. saddle upgrade coming in the next few weeks. I could use some suggestions.
