it ammuses me that so many people use nitto jaguars. keirin racers who use that **** have only a fistful of seatpost showing. a lot of people could learn a thing about proper positioning on a bike. |
... and I just realized that the polka-DW has probably the smallest diameter single downtube I've ever seen.
|
it's not a single downtube though.

I use a Jaguar. On the streets (and track). With B123AA's! Oh the humanity!
Seriously I just like to go fast and pull hard on the drops :( I can rack in plenty of laps on the track and feel fine, just gotta adjust the hand positioning a little every once in awhile, so I don't think it's causing too much trouble. People also need to learn that many people vary in terms of flexibility, core strength, and what kind of position they can maintain for awhile. I'd wager a bet that those keirin guys are pretty damn flexible (a lot moreso than the average street riding NJS fetishist) on top of being strong... |

Are they the new Miche cranks? Much better idea using complete sets of chainring bolts imo... |

I had to go with a positive rise stem when I switched to deep track drops. It's not very sexy, but it puts me in the perfect sprint position.

i love criterium bars so damn much.

Those wheels and that crank are an inspired pair. 650s? What size is that frame?

most keirin racers don't have much seatpost extension...so that stem makes a little more sense.

Yeah, that random dude is her father... ;) Wound Up 650C Its a 37 c-c with a 43cm top tube. Yes, 650c wheels. The Paul cranks are 150's. DW I would have to say that bike is one of my favorite custom builds i've seen! Every thing is just perfect, adding or subtracting anything would only detract from it, and the double downtube , I find that very interesting and a nice little surprise when looking at it. I think i looked at the BB picture 3-4 times last night before i even realized that I wasn't looking at the stay's for the drop outs. The colors are great too! I really hope your daughter enjoys her sweet new ride. |
