whatever, no ciocc is my enemy
|
yeah taht ciocc is pretty awwzum.
the fit even makes me a little jealous. |
Finally upgraded the crank on my pocket rocket to a vintage Stronglight... it's a simple task on most bikes but to do this I had to re-thread the bb to take a standard cartridge 24 tpi bb since the English bb was 26 tpi.

Weird, the Enemy has a pretty substantial slope in the smaller frame sizes. Anytime I see a Ciocc setup so nicely I think to myself that I have to build my Ciocc roadie up proper. One day, one day....

Ordered a new wheelset for my bike; I originally ordered white but was accidentally shipped blue. My first thought was to return them, but instead I decided to keep them. I bought some blue grips to match. :)

650 or 700, the toptube slopes like crazy.

^the frame and build are super clean, but i'm not quite feeling the red tape.

ive noticed that the other ciocc enemy frames i've seen have welded top tubes. what's up with that?

Ok so here goes. I've made a few other posts here, but not been too active. I figure I'll post the bike tonight.
This is my first fixed gear conversion. I was up in the air on whether I was going to convert it to fixed or a simple single speed until recently I said **** it, and bit the bullet. It's definitely a work in progress, but it's my daily rider. I've been told it's a PX-10, but if somebody knows for sure what model it is I'm riding, feel free to chime in. I got the bike for free from the OKC Infoshop about 9 months ago now. I've only really had the money to throw at it here lately. I just overhauled the bottom bracket and it is in great shape. I'm using some donated cheap Shimano cranks (170) that the bb is a little too long for. I'll replace them both as soon as cashflow permits. I still need to overhaul the headset but it seems to be functioning properly at the moment so I'm in no hurry. Here's a list of the new stuff. Dura-Ace 16t fixed cog and lockring. Weinmann SP-17 700c Wheelset (hubs have no name on them, came with wheelset.) Vittoria Zaffiro tires. Sunlite cheap pedals. Selle San Marco Ischia saddle 44t Chainring for donated cranks. http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6303/peugeot1gb2.jpg http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/4886/peugeot2bo1.jpg For my daily abuser, I'm pretty stoked on it. It needs some paint touchup, but I don't see myself stripping it and painting it another color until it's bad enough to need it. Even then, the decal sets are up on Ebay pretty regular so that is still an option. Like I said my next point of focus is the cranks and bottom bracket, as well as maybe removing the front brake, and some black bar tape. I'm not trying to break the bank, but this ride has been worth it so far. |
