Do you have a UV light going in that last pic or is it just effed up?

That isn't necessarily a bad thing, i'd actually prefer a wider lockring myself. Makes it stronger and gives it a longer lifespan, especially if you experiment with gears.

how do you know it isn't a 26.0 clamp diameter stem?

I have a Thompson Elite stem and a Deda drops.

It's a Deda Newton Pista stem, which has a 31.7mm clamp.

interesting...will most threadless stems accomodate the oversized deda bars?

Deda Newton Pista stem and Deda Newton Pista bars are meant for each other. Plus, the bar is really light.

But from this photo, ur bar is Nitto B123 in black which is 25.4 and ur deeda stem seems to be 31.7??
U need a thick as shim to fit those bar into that stem.:rolleyes:

the thickness of the shim doesn't matter as long as it is the right size and shape...no pbr can jank ass **** here. a properly machined shim would be fine.

Changes so far:
-Rattlecan ghetto paint job (Took 2 hours max)
-Mavic CXP22 + Formula hubs
-18t 1/8" Surly Cog
-Switched the horrid pedals with some less horid ones..
-Soon to be front brake (Tektro set from Bikeisland) once I figure out how the hell to assemble it! :( ( can anyone help a noob?)

Future Upgrades!
-Clipless pedals
-New Saddle
-Possibly new stem
-Bullhorns for messin around

If thick ness of the shim doesn't matter then..how will shim fill in the gaps? I ain't being a dick or nothing just that ur logic does not flow. Anyways have a good day.
