Here is my 1973 Schwinn Suburban with parts from my BMX bike and my older GT Mountain Bike. I have yellow handlebar grip tape to match the chain. Basically just built it with all old recycled parts only new parts are the freewheel and chain.

Are half clips that bad? I was thinking of giving them a shot. I run brakes, by the way. Commence making fun of me, but I really want to know if half clips are that worthless.

Instead of attaching a jpg to your post, provide a jpg link.

deathhare 10-20-08 06:53 PM

Not only are those stems ugly but theyre known to just break with a hellish crash following.

[QUOTE=Hagisan;7698128]Well, here's a pic of my first FG/SS. I am having a blast riding it around town. Luckily, Sacramento is nice and flat where I ride because stopping is still somewhat of an issue until a brake is installed.

What kind of stem is that? I am looking for a short stem too.

[QUOTE=Tigerprawn;7700720]Posted a little while ago, but now with my new goodies :). I think I'm happy with the outcome and prob wont be upgrading anything else besides maybe cranks... Eventually.

Nicely done! I like your saddle (but too expensive).

What kind of seatpost is that with the cutouts?

We dont talk about dropouts on 90's cannondales. It's just a little unspoken rule.
