KHS "WINNER"...... anybody ever seen this bike before? Nice old school steel frame I am rocking a 54/16 SS ratio on and soon to switch to a 48/15 fixed as soon as I build the new wheels. I think it has potential and so far I have only spent $120 on so far ($75 of which was for shoes and cleats)... I am happy with where it is going I have just never seen any old KHS road bikes on the road before. Any comments? thats my early to mid 80s khs olympian. the only thing i used off it though was the frame. it had been sitting outside in my friends back yard for maybe 15 years. i spent around $400 for the parts paint and a few tools. |
Can you flip the clamp upside down on those nitto adjustable stems? And are they njs?

Here's my 2008 Fuji Track Pro
Has Deda Aeroblack bars, Hed 3 front, and carbon seatpost...that needs to be tightened as you can see form the slipping saddle. I've been working as a courier since September on a bike made out of cobbled-together cheap parts and a $15 steel frame made by a Canadian department store that went out of business in 1978. It was decent for what it was, but no matter how much work I did on it it always felt sluggish and made working an often hateful process. Yesterday I reached the end of my patience, after my chain snapped and wrapped itself around my rear wheel while I was sprinting. So I went to my LBS, pulled out my Visa and - fliff! fliff! - bought a Flite 100:

I got high last night and spent five hours cruising around the city with a moronic, drooling grin on my face. |
that KHS looks great
By the way, if anyone in Toronto is looking for a Flite 100, Europe Bound on Front St E has last year's models for $650, about $75-$100 less than other bike stores are selling this year's models for.
Agreed on that KHS. Very nice ride. No excuses needed.
I can't believe they charge that much for those.

I like the KHS a lot! Sounds like you were needing a new bike badly!
the fuji needs to lose the rear wheel reflector, other than that, it's lookin good.
those bars on the fuji look uncomfortable.

Your HED3 is on backwards. The spokes are directionally optimized. But you knew that.

god DAM I love those deda aeroblack bars. my dream is to run them on an all black frame free of decals, ninja ****. i just wish i didn't have to worry about shattering carbon bars in nyc traffic.
having one hand position is your dream?
you could flip them and run them like mustache bars...so you have 2
or you could add the extension...and do it right.
