as for the pep boys sticker, for some reason i had it laying around, and my friend just stuck it on there haha |
It was a joke. I found the sticker in his house and we put it on for ****s and giggles lol. Mmmm my drops look sexy on the bike.

First post. Picked up a Kona Paddy Wagon at a really good price. Not feeling the brake levers much, but they're functional at the same time. :\ Pretty sure the LBS switched out the brakes sometime before cause the specs call for black Tektro R538's but they're silver Shimano BR-R450's. Not a big deal though right now. First changes will be some cages, probably.

I recently put on some Michelin City tires (28c) with reflective sidewalls. The stock Continentals turned out to be vulnerable to punctures but got me through two years with this bike (probably 4k miles). Also switched out the Shimano SPD platform/clipless pedals with some Kona Jack$hit platforms that are working out better. I didn't ride fixed and clipless often enough to justify clipless. They'll go on the MTB now. Normally the lights are removed from the bike unless I'm riding in overcast weather or commuting from work at night. I love riding it fixed but I just don't know how people can ride without brakes. I keep front and rear on at all times. I don't trust other drivers enough when I'm riding 20 mph. |
Latest pic of my 83 Schwinn Super Sport. Now with a Campagnolo Shamal 12-HPW wheelset, set up as a single speed.
Look Keo pedals, Campagnolo Record headset, Campagnolo Xenon brakes, Campagnolo Record 17t cog, FSA Pro Track 46t chainring. The patterns on the seatpost and fork were made using electrical tape :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...IMG_4276-1.jpg |

This is my first ssfg, got a 1973 schwinn letour for free from my dads landlords garage sale on long island, nice lugged steel frame, picked up a cheap crank and wheel set on ebay and went to work. Like it so much I regret not getting a nicer wheelset. Paint is rattle can flat black, "oregano", and "nutmeg", better know as home depot ghetto camo paint.

I have another forum for this one...) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3635/...6b4b3ff06d.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3235/...34b9cd8e33.jpg |
My fg looks kinda like that. The old tall bike has lots of trail or follow. I say try and get on top of those bullhorns! HTFU quick.
edit/ for god sakes tie your feet in! |

Here's mine...

I just built it this afternoon. 63.5cm/25" 1982 Schwinn Traveler. Started out as a rusty $20 frame. Then the bike co-op I'm a member of did a group powder coat at $60 per, and I thought it would be hilarious to go for bright pink, (because let's face it, if you're not competing at the velodrome, and you're riding a fixed gear, you might as well make people laugh). Fixed gears really are easy to build up from scratch. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. |
