the open 4 was the precursor to the open pro, right? i seem to remember a discussion about that a few days ago... funny how when you're contemplating a new wheelset, hubs/rims seem to be the first thing you notice on any bike :)

so would the current Open Pro CD rim look like those? no silver sidewalls?

With those cranks...not really. Any kind of decent torque put on those things kills the carbon spider.
