Yeah, for some reason used T1s are a lot cheaper than used Langster S-Works. The stock S-Works components are slightly nicer, but, by all acounts, the frames are comparable.

i clearly don't ride tubulars on the street.
p.s. I'm not saying I'm not guilty of close to the same thing, I have a Samson w/ 753r tubing, just pokin fun, and the Samson was quite cheap. |

i see the reason to have drops for that other 10% for a bad headwind or a quick sprint for some reason. Anyone who rides a bike can see that's a bike set up to look fast as opposed to actually riding fast. The combination of a tall gear ratio you can't accelerate or slow down well and a handlebar setup that provides neither power, leverage, stability nor control makes it pretty obvious the dude can't be riding it too hard. |

They call them road drops, dude should look them up considering track drops are designed to be ridden in the drops 100% of the time, not 10% of the time. That's why there's no good hand positions on the tops or the shoulders, because you don't ride them on the track.

this is so entertaining.
"look fast" ha! my gear ratio & grips really slow me down! i had no idea posting a picture of a bike could drum up so much stupidity. bike forum? this is hilarious. do any of you people actually have reproductive organs? please tell me you don't, & it will all make sense. elTwitcho, nice photographs. i guess your photography biz isn't going so well. hang on...
i've got some other bikes with TRACK drops... |
I thought you were done with this thread. Or do you have as much trouble understanding your own posts as you do other people's posts?

Just block this guy and move on.

(hilarious) And yeah, your grip setup and gear ratio is the worst setup you could have for actually riding quickly. With a taller gear you need more torque to get going, and there is no worse hand position for leveraging down on the pedals than putting them close together near your stem like you do. So talk all the **** you want about other people "needing to be on hybrids" but anyone who's serious about riding can see the difference between a bike setup to ride hard and a bike setup to cruise along casually. ****, you'd probably be faster on a hybrid than the setup you've got, you just wouldn't look as cool doing it. Whatever dude, it's a beautiful bike and good for you |
naw dog, curiosity was killing me. i had to see what was you kids were clumsily masturbating about now. to my surprise, you are still talking about my handlebars! this is strangely addictive.
anyway, i changed the bike up, here it is: http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/Bike_008.jpg kidding. |
elTwitcho, my bike might not make any sense to you, but i can assure you that it's nimble & fast as a steel framed bike can be. before bringing yourself down (like i have unknowingly have) in a forum like this, you should consider why so many people are riding track bikes & parts in cities (like mine). they are squirrelly, light & fast. track frames seemingly are ideal for dicing through traffic. my bike is my own version of a hybrid (track & road). i love it & it suits me very well.
if you ever come down to NYC you should PM me and we'll go out for a jaunt through the city streets so you can see just how foolish all of this talk is. by the way, i'm also a photographer. |

anyway, i changed the bike up, here it is: http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/Bike_008.jpg vvv The majority of my riding is in stop and go traffic where accelaration > top speed, and a lower gear ratio also forces me to spin faster on descents, which is actually a useful skill in cycling. |
Though my new bike was made by children in Taiwan, and has a gear ration designed to go slow, al least my road bars a fully covered!
"Burn....? vvv The majority of my riding is in stop and go traffic where accelaration > top speed, and a lower gear ratio also forces me to spin faster on descents, which is actually a useful skill in cycling." your iro has absolutely nothing to do with serious cycling. it's a commuter bike at best. and by the way homie, lower gear ratio does not make you accelerate faster. |

yeah it's true, this bike is much better than that other bike. I am happy that it was made on an assembly line, & pieced together by children, rather than made by a recognized frame builder in Japan. Also, i agree that Campagnolo is inferior to the parts on the IRO.
props! |
Budget?! *heart breaks*

the wheelset, the wheelset's budget though.http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...wit42/bear.gif |
Yeah, the wheelset is pretty cheap, but they're also strong, hand-built, and stay true.
Full list is in my velospace, most of it is decent(ly expensive) stuff. |
My new ride. I's for sale.
